Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is currently in news for her movie Padmavat, which has triggered a huge outrage across India, has once again made it to the headline, this time albeit for her favourite cricketer’s name. 

As reported by Pinkvilla, who shot for an episode of Vogue’s BFFs with her younger sister Anisha Padukone, Deepika confessed that she’s a big fan of former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Deepika is reportedly dating fellow actor Ranveer Singh.

Dhoni, who guided India to two World Cup victories (2007 T20I and 2011 50-over) was once the most eligible bachelor in India.

It may be mentioned that in 2007 when Dhoni invited Deepika to watch T20 match, she accepted.As per reports, Deepika also received a marriage proposal from Dhoni. However, when Yuvraj Singh’s name started connecting with her, Dhoni decided to keep distance from the actress, Catch News reported.

According to reports, Dhoni had also offered Deepika a marriage proposal. The relationship of Dhoni and Deepika was over when Deepika came face to face with cricketer Yuvraj Singh. At that time Deepika went to Australia to celebrate her 22nd birthday. Deepika had to spend a month in Australia to shoot a film of Yash Raj, but she reached the court two days before the shoot began to spend time with Yuvraj. After this, Yuvraj's name started connecting with Deepika and Dhoni made the distance from Deepika.
